Dune Trail

per person

The dune trail is approximately 1.5 km long and allows you to appreciate various subsystems, from the embryonic dune areas on the edge of the beach, to the first corral where large trees appear.

The embryonic dunes begin to form on the beach when the winds drag the sand and the accumulation around any small obstacle in the relief. These mounds will grow with the sand brought by the wind and will begin their advance to join others and form immense dunes, hundreds of meters inland.

The first corral is made up of small corrals near the beach which are covered by various species of herbs and shrubs, since the mobility of the sand and the intensity of the wind do not allow the growth of larger plants. At this point you can see how the vegetation colonizes the most sheltered areas.
